Location

The conference will be held at the University of Rennes 1, at 4 km of the city centre, on the Campus of Beaulieu (main entrance: 263 avenue du général Leclerc) . Please, have a look to the conference venue on the city map and on the campus map.

Rennes, the historical capital of Brittany, is located 350 km west from Paris (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brittany)

 

How to come to Rennes?

By train

From Paris-Montparnasse train station, high speed trains will reach Rennes in 2h- 2h30.
On July 12 and 13 : From 7h to 21h a train will leave Paris for Rennes almost every hour.

High speed trains are also available from Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport. They reach Rennes in 3h.
On saturday July 12, 4 trains should operate at 10h27, 13h16, 15h42, 18h25.
On sunday July 13, 4 trains should operate at 10h27, 13h16, 18h25, 21h09.

Transportation from the train station

 

By air

Rennes airport is located 5 km south from the city centre.

It is essentially connected to french cities by Air France. Low cost companies operate between Rennes and the UK during the summer period. Visit http://www.flybe.com/ and http://www.aerlingus.com

It is also possible to fly to Dinard from several locations in the UK, visit http://www.ryanair.com. Dinard is located on the north coast near Saint-Malo (65 km from Rennes). Train service is available between Saint-Malo and Rennes.

Transportation during the conference

Rennes has a network of bus lines and one underground line (www.star.fr). Tickets may be purchased in several newspapers and tobacco shops.

Important : A special shuttle service will be operating during the conference in the mornings and evenings between the city centre and the conference site.

Registration desk

Will be opened on Sunday, July 13 from 14h to 19h in buildings 1&2.

 

Get-together reception

All participants and accompanying persons are invited to the get-together reception being held at the "Restaurant universitaire" on Sunday, July 13 at 19h.

Although July is summertime in France, cool and wet days can not be excluded.
